What to Look for in a Company Manufacturing SWIR Lenses

How long have they been in business? -- A good indicator of the reputation and success of a company is how long they have been in business. Have they been manufacturing SWIR lenses and other lenses for a couple of years or several decades?

What is their testing system like? -- Are their SWIR lenses manufactured in a clean environment? Is their testing done to international requirements and by well-trained and properly certified technicians?

Find out what the procedure is for testing, and if it is to the same high standards you are used to.

How do you place an order? -- Find their websites and look closely at what the order placing system is like.

Will you be in constant touch with a representative who can answer all your questions? Can you order online or do you need to call? How long does an order take to finish and then to ship to you? 

What is the cost of shipping? -- Look closely at the shipping costs, as this can add quite a bit to your overall costs.

Do not just avoid companies in countries like China due to their higher shipping costs, as these will usually be offset quite a bit by much lower manufacturing costs for your swir lenses.
